Regular neighborhood pizzeria. Reasonably priced at $3.75 per slice of regular margarita pizza. Italian music softly playing in the back. Plenty of seats.

Really enjoyed our visit as 4 adults and 4 kids. We sat in two booths. Smelled good, was cozy, and we ate our fill of pizza and pasta for a very reasonable price (e.g. $30 for a delicious 18 inch pizza with 4 veggie toppings). Great find to dine with kids near Central Park!

I went to this tasty old-school pizza place a handful of times while walking on the east side, though I never took any photos. The plain slices were standard and tasty, and a good example of a typical slice. For a variety of reasons, they unfortunately recently closed after 45 years, as per UESite. The last night was on December 3rd.

On our way to the Met, we stopped by Don Filippo after noticing a promotion for two cheese slices and a pop, and I’m so glad we did. We got exactly what was advertised, and the pizza was phenomenal. It was a super delicious, classic New York-style pizza — probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The crust was perfect, the cheese was just right, and it came straight out of the oven, which made it even better. Honestly, I can’t think of a way to improve it. It was just perfect. Definitely a 5-star experience!

A doorman pointed out this place years ago when I asked where to find a good slice pizza and it’s been marked in my maps ever since. Pizza, garlic bread, soups and salads are all great. Haven’t had a dinner entree yet. I come back for a good quick lunch whenever I visit the nearby museums or Central Park. Love this place!
